Till We Meet Again

On Sunday December 26, 2010 Elder and Sister Meyers were set apart as full time missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  Nine of their twelve grandchildren were there.  We will miss them, but look forward to sharing their adventures through this blog.

Mission call to India Bangalore Mission

On Oct 14th we received our mission call to India Bangalore Mission to serve in the country of Sri Lanka as CES specialists.  We were to enter the MTC in Provo on November 29th, but when the family was faced with our tragedy we requested a delay until December 27th.  We will be in Provo for two weeks of training and then on January 10th we will fly to Colombo, Sri Lanka.  We will serve for 18 months.  We will supervise Seminary and Institute Teachers, teach classes, run the distribution center, teach missionary lessons, teach regular Church programs, train the auxiliaries and priesthood programs and speak in church.  It will be exciting, different and challenging, but the Lord has called us and he will guide us.
